LA44ZZ files

A LA44ZZ file is a payment slip (“bordereau de paiement”) sent by a Caisse d’Allocations Familiales (CAF) as plain text. It lists the payments the CAF makes to one recipient, such as a landlord, for several beneficiaries.

This page describes the layout as the parser expects it, from sample files. It is not a specification of the format.

Here is a sample slip with made-up data:

  1. CAF headername, address, processing date
  2. Recipientname, address, reference
  3. Paymentpayment date, bank details
  4. Tableone row per payment, total
The parts of a slip, from top to bottom.
In the file Read as
CAISSE D'ALLOCATIONS FAMILIALES and the line below getCafName(), e.g. CAISSE D'ALLOCATIONS FAMILIALES DE DOCVILLE
The street and city lines below the CAF name getCafAddress(), joined with ,
DATE DE TRAITEMENT : 05 02 2026 getProcessingDate()
The block on the right of NM REFERENCE getRecipientName() and getRecipientAddress()
NM REFERENCE: 0000000 0001 getReference()
BORDEREAU DE PAIEMENT A.L. DU 03 02 2026 getPaymentDate()
VB TESTFRPP FR76 0000 …, below REFERENCES BANCAIRES BAILLEUR getBic() and getIban() (without spaces)

The other header fields (NMFP PAGE, NUMERO DE PRODUIT, TYPE DE TRAITEMENT, TEL, NATURE DR) are not read.

The table is framed by lines of 121 dashes. The column headers come first, then one row per payment, then the total. Each row has eight columns separated by ::

Column Meaning Read as
REFERENCES LOGEMENT/PRET Housing or loan reference, often empty getReference()
NUMERO ALLOCATAIRE Beneficiary number getBeneficiaryReference()
NOM DESTINATAIRE Beneficiary name getBeneficiaryName()
DATE DEBUT, DATE FIN First and last month of the period (MM YYYY) getStartDate(), getEndDate()
MONTANT BRUT Gross amount getGrossAmount()
RETENUE Deduction getDeduction()
MONTANT NET Net amount getNetAmount()

The row below the table, TOTAL :, gives getTotalAmount(). In the sample files, the total is the sum of the net amounts and each net amount is the gross amount minus the deduction; the parser does not check either.

See parsing for how each value is read.
